Mari is a lover of things that last with a dedication to craftsmanship and sustainability at her core. In a world of “cheap and fast,” she strives daily to push back against the pressure of big corporations and consumer culture by imbuing her life and work with long lasting and durable beauty.

Mari aims to inspire those around her by living slower and focusing on minimizing the impact on the health of our planet. She has the desire to open doors for others creatively and eliminate the fear of the struggling artist amongst her peers.

Mari enjoys many mediums including stained glass, woodworking, welding, wood burning, leather-crafting, sewing, block carving + printing and playing the banjo. But being the student of the world that she is, she hopes to accumulate as many useful skills and crafts as she can.

Next, she wants to venture into ceramics, furniture building, carpentry and whatever else she can get her hands on.

About Mari

  • "the most compliments"

Mari did my second ever tattoo and gassed me up and made feel so welcome and comfortable. The tattoo itself is a dream and 8 years later it’s still gets the most compliments out of all my tattoos. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first real sit!

  • "can't wait for my next piece"

I followed Mari to each of the shops she has worked out of for almost a decade now and don’t plan on stopping. Her black line work and style is so unique and can’t wait for my next piece from her.

  • "knocks it out of the park"

Mari has done every single one of my tattoos, 6 and counting now, and has knocked it out of the park every single time! She is quick, easy to work with, and makes sure you are fully in love with your ink. I don’t plan on going to anyone else for any future tattoos.

  • "open and friendly vibe"

Mari is lovely! I was a walk-in wanting an old school rocket on my arm and we ended up doing a rocket and a moon. She added more detail than I thought was possible on my tiny arm! She is such a professional with an open and friendly vibe.

  • "easy to talk to & trustworthy"

Mari V. gave me my FIRST tattoo (a precious little oyster on my calf). Years later, I still look onto this experience so fondly. She helped me feel comfortable in a situation that was so new to me. Mari has great pricing, is super easy to talk to, and trustworthy. Exactly what you want in a tattoo artist.
